Hello everyone,
Just made a blog post that I think has potential applicability to fighting egoism. It only has a sliver of a chance of affecting those so-called "hardcore rationalists" who are egoist, but that is something I guess. Those who are just selfish and unthinking about it don't really apply here.

I am You, and You are Me... Maybe

Re: I am You, and You are Me... Maybe
Ta EU. I think in some sense it's obviously true to a reductionist that I'm no more me than you. We're just arrangements of (wave/)particles that gradually change over time. Since the basic particles are all identical, it doesn't make any sense to see two patterns as having some metaphysical link - all we can say is that some are more similar than others. Ie I'm more similar to my future self than I am to you, but if we don't think similarity important elsewhere, there's no reason to in this particular respect.
